Cruise Slated to Benefit Children’s Miracle Network and CoxHealth Foundation Programs

CruiseforCharity.com and CoxHealth Foundation announced a fundraising Alaska cruise departing this summer from Seattle.  For every cabin booked in the CoxHealth group a contribution of up to $300 per cabin, will be made by CruiseForCharity.com to a choice of three non-profit charities: (1) Children’s Miracle Network; (2) CoxHealth Auxiliary programs; (3) CoxHealth Foundation Patient Service Funds. Time to book this fundraising cruise is limited with deposit deadline of February 12, after which prices will go up.

On Friday, July 6, 2012, the Royal Caribbean Rhapsody of the Seas will depart from beautiful Seattle and spend through breathtaking views of glaciers, not to mention experiencing the wildlife, scenery and wilderness that is Alaska first-hand!

Ports include romantic gold-rush era town of Skagway, gateway to Klondike, and Juneau, one of America's most beautiful state capitals. Then comes Victoria, British Columbia, with some of the country's most exhilarating scenery: there's an ocean or mountain vista around every corner, while the city's flower gardens are famous the world over.

Tracy Arm, a magnificent glacier-carved fjord, is the next stop for the fundraising cruise. Inside passage will leave lasting memoriesas the ship weaves through the islands on the Pacific coast of North America. Finally, there is Seattle, the coffee capital for coffee lovers.

The CoxHealth Foundation was established in 1998 to carry on the tradition of philanthropy, begun in 1906, by generating current and endowed support for CoxHealth and Cox College. Contributions and fundraising provide financial grants for patient care and special medical needs – Technology and facility development- community health programs – health professions education through scholarships.
